Sisters Share Their Story

Hurricane First Baptist Church invited Allison and Lillian O’Dell to visit their Women’s Circle Meeting on Thursday, May 21, 2026.  Allison and Lillian attend Concord College, members of FBC Summersville and are recipients of the AB Women’s Ministry Scholarship Program and the WVBC Internship for Missions.   This past February, these two beautiful, joyful and amazing young women traveled to Thailand to work with the ‘Hope in the Hills Tribes’ and wanted to share their experience with the women of Hurricane.

The sisters are 18 years old and at the age of 15, these young women went on their first mission trip to India with their pastor Dana Gatewood.  Last year Allison and Lillian had the privilege visiting the mission field of Keith and Debbie Myers in Pueblo, Mexico.    When not on the mission field or attending school, Allison and Lillian are spending their summers at Camp Cowen as counselors or working their personal business, ‘Grace thru Faith Bakery’ in Summersville.

These young women have much to share about their love for God, their passion to serve and their excitement to tell others the story that God has given them.  They tell us that they are story tellers using social media.  Allison and Lillian are booked to tell their story at other churches.  Their story is powerful and amazing.  It is exciting to see where God will take these two young women in their faith walk with Him.
