Blessed to Be Called

I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
— Isaiah 43:1

Are you blessed to be called honey, Mom, Nana, Auntie or teacher?  Think of all the tiles you are blessed to be called.  The greatest of these is Child of God.  As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we begin thinking more about how much we have been blessed.  No one loves you more than Jesus.  He wants only good things for you.  Even when you think you do not deserve them, even when you are not obeying Him, even when you don’t like yourself – God loves you.  He made you, redeemed you, and calls you His own.  Take a minute and think about that.  Hear Him whisper “You are mine”.

You, my sister, are uniquely His….

Special….

One of a kind…

A blessing.  You are both a blessing to God and to others.

Take a minute and offer God a prayer of praise….

God, I praise You because You know my name.  You called me.  You blessed me.  You love me beyond measure.

I praise You because I do not need to worry about what to wear or what to eat.  You will take care of my every need.

I praise you because You have given me gifts and talents.  I praise You for the opportunities to use these gifts and talents to spread the good news of Your love.

I praise You for sending Jesus to be my intercessor, my Savior, and my Redeemer.

I praise You for guiding my paths, guiding my life choices, and most of all for loving me when I can be so unlovable.

God, You are worthy of all praise. Amen!
