Follow the Star

After listening to the king, they went on their way.  And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them. Until it came to rest over the place where the child was.
— Matthew 2:9 ESV

During this season of celebration of a birth, let us think back to the light.  The light that told a story, to a light that warms our hearts, the light that we as Christians follow daily.

How do we bring the light to others during this Season of Light?  Why not do daily readings as a family, invite others to join in, gather with a good cup of coco and popcorn.  Starting today, I challenge you to read through the book of Luke this month. There are 24 chapters in this gospel…. one for each day ending Christmas Eve.  What a wonderful tradition to start or keep for families, neighbors, Churches, and perhaps even Communities.

Who knows…. you may lead someone new to the life with the light of Christ.  Wouldn’t that be amazing to bring someone from the dark into the light of Christ!

Prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

Let us as Christians bring to Light into someone else’s heart and life this most holy of holiday seasons.

As we as Christian’s celebrate your birth.

In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost….. AMEN
