ABW Executive Board Report

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,  5  so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.  6  We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
— Romans 12:4-6a

Your ABW State Board, with its many members, spent the weekend at a planning retreat looking over 2025 and ideas for the upcoming year, Lord willing. We spent time together growing in our friendship, understanding our areas of ministry better, and growing in our relationship with the Lord, plus eating of course. We are underway with plans on how to share our love of the Lord with the ladies of West Virginia and all over.

We went on a field trip to the WV Baptist Historical Society located at Parchment Valley. Sue Hamric along with Gary and Debbie Higginbotham gave us a wonderful tour of our ABW history as well as the history of our churches throughout West Virginia. I was able to see some history on my own church, Gilboa Baptist, that I had never seen before. We had a great field trip. I encourage you to stop in and visit on Mondays or when they are open for events.

As we start to close out the year, I encourage you to remember that Special Project, MOP, WV Hope, and WV Blessings continue until the end of December. What a great gift idea supporting one of these missions. What a blessing that we got to enjoy time as many members, but all working towards the same goals sharing the love of Jesus with a lost world, while encouraging those working for the Lord. On this day, I want to pause and thank the Lord for the Veterans and their families, who have defended and protected our rights in this great country.

Praying you all have a good week in the Lord.
